Three suspects have been arrested following a shooting incident in Hillbrow on June 30 2026, in which two people, including a 17-year-old teenager, were injured during a protest.

It is alleged that the suspects opened fire on protesters passing through the area, injuring two individuals. In response, protesters reportedly torched the suspects’ vehicle.

They are expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court on charges of attempted murder.
