March and March sets sights on more Pietermaritzburg businesses
March and March Umgungundlovu leader Mxolisi Nxumalo said the organisation would continue its weekly marches.
The uMgungundlovu-based March and March movement will on Thursday resume its campaign targeting businesses allegedly operated by undocumented foreign nationals in Pietermaritzburg.
Speaking to The Witness, March and March Umgungundlovu leader Mxolisi Nxumalo said the organisation would continue its weekly marches, which will now take place every Thursday, as part of its campaign calling for undocumented foreign nationals to leave South Africa.

Nxumalo said Thursday’s march will begin in Pietermaritz Street before proceeding to various areas in and around the city where the organisation believes businesses are being operated by undocumented foreign nationals.
“Our focus remains on illegal immigrants who are still residing in the country despite our call for them to leave,” said Nxumalo.
Every Thursday we will be marching to different areas as we continue this campaign.
He said the organisation intends to visit a number of business outlets it alleges are being operated by undocumented foreign nationals.

The latest march follows a series of similar demonstrations held in recent weeks across Pietermaritzburg and surrounding communities, where members of the organisation have called for stricter enforcement of immigration laws and action against undocumented foreign nationals operating businesses.
