Nedbank Cup champs Durban City to celebrate with their PMB fans

'Our supporters are very important and their role during the games is very important'

Nedbank Cup champions and Chatsworth-based Betway Premiership outfit Durban City will be in Pietermaritzburg today celebrating their recent title win with their local followers.

The trophy celebration is scheduled for 11am to 1pm at Scottsville Mall.

City’s chairperson Farook Kadodia told Weekend Witness that their visit to Pietermaritzburg is to salute and honour their local supporters for playing an important role during the season by attending their games in Chatsworth.

“Our supporters are very important and their role during the games is very important. It means a lot to us and especially to the players.

“This is to show respect and take our hats off for them. We appreciate them and their contribution — their presence is always important,” said Kadodia.

Local soccer followers will have a chance to take selfies with the players and also sign autographs during the event.
