Police arrest man after discovering suspected stolen meat in car boot
Officers stopped and searched a blue Toyota Conquest, where they discovered a large quantity of suspected stolen cow meat concealed beneath a blanket in the boot.
A 37-year-old man has been arrested after police allegedly found a large quantity of suspected stolen cow meat hidden in the boot of his vehicle during a high-density crime prevention operation in North West.
The arrest was made at about 11 pm on Tuesday during a vehicle checkpoint on the N18 near Dry Harts Village, conducted by members of the Pudimoe police station.

According to police, officers stopped and searched a blue Toyota Conquest, where they discovered a large quantity of suspected stolen cow meat concealed beneath a blanket in the boot.
The suspect was arrested on a charge of possession of suspected stolen meat and is expected to appear in the Taung Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
Police said investigations are continuing to determine the origin of the recovered meat and whether the suspect may be linked to other stock theft cases.
