Hero neighbour’s quick CPR helps save three-year-old after pool incident
IPSS Medical Rescue responded to reports of a drowning incident shortly before arriving to find the child in a serious condition.
A neighbour’s quick thinking and life-saving CPR have been credited with giving a three-year-old boy a fighting chance after he was pulled from a swimming pool in Salt Rock.

It is believed the boy had been submerged in the pool for about 10 minutes.
Before emergency services arrived, neighbour Jacques Joubert pulled the child from the water and immediately began cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Paramedics stabilised the boy at the scene before transporting him to a nearby medical facility under the care of an IPSS Medical Rescue advanced life support paramedic.

IPSS Medical Rescue praised Joubert’s swift intervention, saying his immediate response and early CPR undoubtedly prevented an even greater tragedy.
