KZN police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Paul Magwaza said the first arrests followed a sting operation in the Point area.

“Police conducted a sting operation in the Point area which resulted in the arrest of two suspects who were found in possession of an assortment of narcotics including rock cocaine, ecstasy, crystal meth, heroin and cocaine powder,” said Magwaza.

The estimated street value of the recovered drugs is R211 000.

The two suspects, aged between 30 and 40, have been charged with dealing in drugs.

In a separate operation, officers from the Provincial Drugs and Firearms Team, working alongside the Economic Infrastructure Task Team, arrested a 25-year-old suspect at a shop on Florida Road in Morningside.
