German heiress among 2 dead in Bulgerivier cases

Police have confirmed that they are investigating two inquest cases following the deaths of a man and a woman in the Bulgerivier policing area in the Waterberg District.
According to Letaba Herald, police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said the first incident occurred on May 31 at approximately 2 pm at Leeufontein Farm KQ in Bulspruit, Bulgerivier.
Police reportedly responded to a complaint and found a man, identified as Arno Koen, with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the chest.
“The circumstances surrounding the incident are currently under investigation,” said Ledwaba.
A second death was reported the following day, June 1, at about 10:15. The deceased was identified as Ms Van Rantzou.
Police have opened an inquest docket and are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.
As part of the ongoing investigation, police have confiscated a licensed rifle and a pistol.
The deputy provincial commissioner for crime detection, Major General Samuel Manala Masingi, also visited the scene to oversee the investigation.
Police said postmortem examinations are still to be conducted to determine the exact causes of death.
Authorities have not disclosed further details, citing the sensitivity of the ongoing investigation.
