Moloi takes men’s lead as women’s frontrunners trade positions

The women’s race is proving to be equally captivating, with Nobukhosi Tshuma, Gerda Steyn, Irvette van Zyl and Dikeleni Majara running in the leading pack.
The quartet has been exchanging positions throughout the race, often running shoulder to shoulder in a tactical contest that could go down to the closing stages.

With the race clock reading just over two hours and 35 minutes, the elite athletes are not yet at the halfway point of the gruelling 85.77km Up Run, leaving plenty of time for the leaderboard to change as the drama of the Ultimate Human Race continues to unfold.
