Police to stage readiness parade ahead of June 30 marches

Cachalia will be joined by KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thami Ntuli and the province's Acting Police Commissioner, Major-General Phumelele Makoba.

Acting Police Minister Firoz Cachalia will on Sunday lead a multidisciplinary law enforcement State of Readiness Parade ahead of the planned June 30 marches.

Cachalia will be joined by KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thami Ntuli and the province’s Acting Police Commissioner, Major-General Phumelele Makoba, as they send off law enforcement officers who will be deployed to police the demonstrations.

The parade will take place at the Amphitheatre at North Beach in Durban on Sunday, June 28, at 10.30am.
